JAMMU, Mar 16: A woman today sustained about 70% burn injuries due to stove blast at her residence in Akhnoor area of the district.
According to a police spokesman, the woman identified as Melo Devi (40) wife of Pali Ram, a resident of Sohal (Akhnoor) was cooking food on a stove at her residence, when it blasted.
He said in the mishap, the woman received grievous injuries following which she was immediately shifted to Sub District Hospital Akhnoor, from where she was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where her condition was stated to be stable.
The concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
