JAMMU, Aug 3: A woman allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in Gho-Manhasa area on city outskirts.
According to a police official, a woman namely Makhni Devi (38) daughter of Balwan Singh, resident of Bhagatpura (Gho Manhasa), allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence last evening. He said the woman was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she passed away today at about 6:20 PM.
The body was sent for postmortem while inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection by Pounichak police.
