JAMMU, June 15: A woman hailing from Bihar allegedly committed suicide at her rented accommodation in Jourian area of Akhnoor.
“Gunjan Devi (26) wife of Ranjeet Rishi, resident of Bihar, consumed some poisonous substance at her present residence on yesterday after which she was rushed to Sub District Hospital Akhnoor, from where she was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu,” a police official said.
He said during treatment, the woman died today at about 6 PM. The body has been shifted to mortuary room of the Hospital while Jourian police had taken cognizance of the matter, the official added.
