JAMMU, May 3: A woman allegedly commits suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Khour area of Miran Sahib, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Sharda Devi, wife of Major Chowdhary of Gho Manhasa, at present Village Khour Bhou Miran Sahib District Jammu.
She had consumed some poisonous substance on April 29 this year at her residence in Village Khour Bhou area of Miran Sahib and was admitted in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where she failed to respond to the treatment and breathed her last.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the lady was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Miran Sahib Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
