SAMBA, May 12: A housewife died after consuming some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances at her residence in Taloor area of Samba today.
She has been identified as Neelam Devi, 40, wife of Partap Singh resident of Taloor Sector Samba. Police said she consumed poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances and started vomiting. Her family members immediately rushed her to District Hospital Samba for treatment where doctors washed her stomach and then kept her in the Emergency Ward under observation. But after one hour she died in the Hospital.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of District Hospital Samba for legal formalities.
The police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation.
