Woman convicted for husband’s murder

Srinagar, Apr 9: A court today convicted a woman in Kulgam district of south Kashmir for murdering her husband in 2007, a police spokesman said here.
He said the woman namely Akhtera wife of Late Mohammed Shafi was found guilty for murdering her husband after a trial at Sessions Court Kulgam. “She has been convicted by Honorable Sessions Judge Kulgam Zubair Ahmad Raza,” he said.
“The honorable court will decide her punishment on 11th of this month. CPO Kulgam was the special public prosecutor of the case appoint by the Government,” the spokesman said.
He added that the convicted woman was produced before the honorable court by police in case under FIR number 116/07 under Section 302 RPC.
