JAMMU, June 26: A 55-year-old woman was crushed to death by a matador here today, police said.
They said Tripta Devi (55) wife of Chander Mohan of Talab Tillo was injured after she accidentally fell under a matador (JK02AA-4351) that ran over her.
“She was taken to Government Medical College Jammu where she didn’t respond to the treatment,” police said.
While the matador has been seized by the police the driver of the vehicle is still at large.
Meanwhile, a case FIR number 99/2023 under sections 337, 279 and 304(a) of the IPC has been registered against the accused at Nowabad Police Station and further investigation taken up.
