JAMMU, Apr 7: An unidentified elderly woman died here at Gandhi Nagar locality of the District after she was hit by a rashly driven vehicle.
Police said a rashly driven Safari vehicle (JK02DF-9088) hit an unidentified woman near Church Gandhi Nagar, resulting in severe injuries to her.
She was immediately taken to Government Medical College Jammu where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
While police have registered a case FIR number 79/2024 under sections 279/304-A IPC at Police Station Gandhi Nagar they have requested the general public to come forward and identify the deceased whose body is lying at the mortuary of the hospital.
