SAMBA , May 24: A woman died after consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in village Amol in tehsil Vijaypur of Samba district today.
She was taken to Vijaypur Hospital where from doctors referred her to GMC Jammu as her condition had deteriorated. But the woman died on here way to GMC. She has been identified as Kanta Devi 55, wife of Jagdish Raj.
Her body was handed over to family members after postmortem. The police has registered a case under section 174. The cause of the extreme step taken by the lady is not known.
