Woman dies due to swine flu

Srinagar, Nov 25: A 72-year-old woman died today at SKIMS due to H1N1 flu in Kashmir valley, taking the H1N1 toll to 8 this season.
An official of the SKIMS said that a total of 45 cases have been reported of which 8 persons died due to acute infection.
He said that 23 patients have already been discharged while 14 persons suffering from the flu are being treated at SKIMS Srinagar.
“Swine flu isn’t as scary as it seemed a few years ago but, it’s still important to protect yourself from getting it. Like seasonal flu, it can cause more serious health problems for some people”, the official said.
