JAMMU, Sept 15: A 35-year-old woman died after the boundary wall of her kaccha house collapsed due to incessant rainfall at Nagrota area here, officials said.
Sunita Yadav wife of Vijay Yadav of Chhattisgarh at present Noori Masjid Gali, Nagrota area was injured after one of the walls at her kaccha house, which was weakened due to incessant rainfall on the intervening nights of Thursday and Friday, came crashing down on her around 1:30 am, they said.
After getting information, a team from Nagrota Police Station reached at the residence of the injured woman and shifted her to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu where she was declared as dead on arrival.
While the body of the woman has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem inquest proceedings have also been initiated to further probe the matter.
