RAJOURI, Jan 28: A woman was killed in a road accident in Nowshera area while a middle aged man was injured after he was hit by an unknown vehicle in Rajouri district today.
A police spokesman said that one Santosh Devi, wife of Narinder Kumar, resident of Bagnoti village in Nowshera, was hit by a Tempo Traveler No. JK 14B/5103 at Dandesar on Jammu-Poonch highway today. She was rushed to SDH Nowshera where doctors after providing preliminary treatment, referred her to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of her serious condition. But she died on the way. Her body was brought back to Nowshera hospital and then handed over to the family after completion of legal formalities this afternoon. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
Meanwhile, one Darshan Lal, son of Moti Ram, resident of Ward No.11, Nowshera was injured after he was hit by an unknown vehicle near Nowshera today. The injured was hospitalized.
