JAMMU, Aug 10: A 35-year-old woman riding pillion on a bicycle died in a road accident here at Pallanwala Village in Jammu District today.
Asha Devi wife of Prem Pal of Channi Platan, Pallanwala, was hit by a bike around 10:30 am at Pallanwala today, police said.
They said, after preliminary treatment, the woman was shifted to Government Medical College Jammu, where she was declared as dead on arrival.
While the body of the deceased woman has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital a case under relevant sections of the law has been registered at concerned police station and further investigation taken up.
