JAMMU, Oct 20: A 30-year-old woman died under mysterious circumstances here at Ustad Mohalla.
“A woman identified as Savita (30) wife of Balkrishan, resident of Ustad Mohalla (Jammu), collapsed and fell down while performing ‘Karvachouth’ rituals on the roof of her residence, last night”, a police spokesman said quoting in-laws of the deceased.
He said due to fall woman received minor injuries after which she was taken to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she expired today at about 9.15 AM.
“The Pacca Danga police have taken cognizance of the matter and initiated proceedings under 174 CrPC while the body of the deceased has been handed over to her legal heirs for last rites after completing all medico-legal formalities”, the spokesman added.
