JAMMU, Jan 1: Police in Narwal area here claimed to have arrested a woman drug peddler and recovered 6 grams of heroin from her possession.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Post Narwal led by incharge Police Post Narwal while on patrolling duty rounded up a suspected woman, who was coming from Rajiv Nagar Mohalla towards the bridge at Rajiv Nagar.
On search of the woman identified as Upasana of Rajiv Nagar, 6 grams of heroin was recovered, he said, adding that the accused has been arrested and booked under the relevant sections of the law registered at Police Station Bahu and further investigation started.
