UDHAMPUR, May 14: A middle aged woman suffering from some mental disorder, ended her life by jumping from a bridge at village Basta in Ramnagar, here today.
According to the police reports, Satya Devi (46,) wife of Sher Singh of village Basta Ramnagar, was found dead under the bridge. Earlier, she was spotted moving towards the bridge by a local, who informed that the deceased was alone and did not respond to his call. She had apparently jumped from the bridge and committed suicide, sources added.
Family members of the deceased also purportedly informed the Police that she was suffering from some mental disorder and had attempted suicide a few days back.
However a case under section 174 RPC has been registered in this connection for further investigation and the dead body was shifted to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar for the postmortem and other legal formalities.
