POONCH, Apr 7: A 26-year-old woman was found dead at her house in Batalkote Loran area here.
The deceased was identified as Saleema Begum, wife of Mohd Latief.
The body of the deceased woman has been shifted to District Hospital Poonch for completion of legal formalities.
Station House Officer (SHO) Loran when contacted said that police have taken dead body into custody and shifted it to DH Poonch for legal formalities.
He said, a rope has been recovered from the spot and marks are also found around the neck which is indicating towards hanging, but still matter is being investigated.
Inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC have been registered by Loran Police in this regard.
