SAMBA, Mar 10: A married woman committed suicide after hanging herself with a tree outside her home at village Nai Basti area of Supwal near here, today.
According to police, during the intervening night, the lady committed suicide by hanging herself with a tree outside her home at village Nai Basti area of Supwal under the jurisdiction of Police Station, Samba. When family members saw her, they immediately brought her to Emergency Hospital, Vijaypur for treatment but doctor declared her as brought dead.
The body of the deceased was kept in the mortuary room of District Hospital Samba for postmortem. After completion of the legal formalities the body was handed over her legal heirs for the last rites.
The deceased woman has been identified as Manjeet Kour, 35, wife of Kulbir Singh resident of Nai Basti area of Supwal Samba.
In this regard, Samba police has registered the case under relevant sections of the law and started investigations.
