JAMMU, Sept 13: A woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Malhotra Mohalla area, falling under the jurisdiction of City Police Station.
As per police sources, 55-year-old woman namely Veenu Sharma of Malhotra Mohalla allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence.
Finding her hanging this morning, family members informed the police and shifted the body to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where after conducing autopsy, the body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at City Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
