Woman hurt as LPG cylinder catches fire

KATHUA, June 12: A woman received serious burn injuries after a gas cylinder caught fire and got exploded when she was cooking at home in Nagri area today.
Reports said one Ramo Devi, wife of Darshan Lal of village Nagri Parole was cooking in her kitchen. Suddenly, due to leakage, the LPG cylinder caught fire. She was trapped in flames and rushed outside. The cylinder also got exploded. The kitchen items were also burnt. The family members controlled the fire and rushed her to Kathua hospital with serious injuries.
With nearly 75 % burn injuries, the victim has been referred to GMC hospital, Jammu. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
