Woman injured in bear attack

SRINAGAR, Nov 17: A woman was injured in a bear attack in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district. The bear was later on killed by the wildlife authorities.
A police spokesman said that a bear injured a woman namely Raja aged 45 years, daughter of Mohammad Ramzan Sheikh resident of Chitti Banday, Bandipora. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura for treatment.
“As per the orders of wildlife warden Northern Division Sopore, the bear was killed with the assistance of Block Officer Wild Life Protection Bandipora. The body of the bear was handed over to Block Officer wildLife Protection, Bandipora for further disposal,” said the police spokesman.
