POONCH, Aug 26: An elderly woman was injured in bear attack at Dhan Miran, Loran in Poonch district today.
Official sources said that the woman was outside her house when a bear attacked and left her seriously injured.
“Injured woman was initially taken to Primary Health Centre, Loran and later shifted to District Hospital, Poonch,” sources said.
She was identified as Mukhti Begum (58), wife of late Ghani Mir, a resident of Dhan Miran village in Block Loran.
Medical Superintendent DH Poonch, Dr Zulfiqar Ali said that she was critically injured and after providing some treatment was referred to GMC Rajouri for further treatment.
