Woman injured in Pak shelling on LoC in Poonch

JAMMU: A woman was injured on Wednesday as Pakistan shelled forward villages and Army posts on the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“One lady namely Shahmim Begum, 55, wife of Mohammad Majeed, resident of Takh Dharati, was injured in Balakote sector due to Pakistani shelling this morning at about 0920 hours,” police sources here said.
Pakistan yet again violated the ceasefire agreement by firing unprovoked on the Line of Control in Rajouri and Poonch districts.
“Pakistani Army this morning from 0815 hours initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars in Poonch and BG sector of Rajouri along the Line of Control,” a defence spokesman here said.
He said that Indian Army is retaliating strongly and effectively. “Firing is still on,” he added.
