JAMMU, Oct 25: A female patient today jumped from 7th floor of the building of Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu and died on the spot.
According to a police official, the deceased has been identified as Bachno Devi wife of Mithu Ram, resident of Kamdini in Nathyal Panchayat of Khour area. He said that the woman was mentally unstable and was admitted in the Ward number 15 of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu yesterday after she allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence.
The official said today at about 2 pm, the woman jumped from the window of a toilet block of Ward number 15 and died on the spot. He said the body was sent for postmortem while a case in this connection was registered at police station Bakshi Nagar and further investigation started.
