SRINAGAR, Aug 29: A woman died while as 11 others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley.
Reports said that a motorcycle bearing registration number JK09/1936 driven by Tariq Ahmad Sheikh, son of Late Ghulam Mohammad resident of Reshipora hit and injured a lady Raja Begum, aged 45 years, wife of Abdul Aziz Dar resident of Palpora at Palpora Crossing, Kralgund-Handwara. The injured lady was shifted to District Hospital, Baramulla for treatment, where she succumbed to her injuries. A case has been registered in this regard.
An Army vehicle bearing registration number 05D16511H hit and injured a pedestrian Kirpal Singh, aged 70 years, son of Ishar Singh resident of Gadigarh Jammu at present Pattan, near Gurdwara, Pattan. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK03B/9847 hit an unidentified Tractor at Uranhall-Anantnag, resulting in injuries to six passengers. The injured were identified as Ulfat Jan, daughter of Mukhtar Ahmad Malik resident of Chitragam-Shopian, Razia, wife of Ali Mohammad Dar resident of Sangam, Shoaib Ahmad Reshi, son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Wachi, Khalida, wife of Lateef Khan, Rukhsana, wife of Abdul Hamid Khan and Jameela daughter of Abdul Gani Khan residents of Rajouri at present Sangam. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A bus bearing registration number JK03/8049 and a Tata Matador bearing registration number JK13/4688 collided on National Highway at Uranhall, Anantnag. Three persons including the Matador driver Mohammad Ashraf, son of Wali Mohammad resident of Wachi, Pulwama and two passengers Nusrat, daughter of Wali Mohammad Dar resident of Halmullah, Sangam and Ishrat, daughter of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat resident of Litter were injured in the mishap. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A motorcyclist Tariq Ahmad Sheikh, son of Mohammad Ibrahim resident of Viddy, Srigufwara met with an accident at Darkhan-Darigund, Anantnag, resulting in his serious injuries. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
