RAJOURI, Sept 12: A woman was killed while three other members of her family were injured, when their car fell into a gorge in Kalidhar area near Bhamla this evening.
Official sources said that mishap took place at around 5.30 pm when all the family members were returning home in Kalakote from Jammu. Two sons and daughter of Noor Bagum (65), wife of Alaf Din, were bringing their mother to their home at village Brow in Kalakote (Rajouri). She had been discharged from GMC Hospital Jammu, today.
The family was moving back happily to their home after the recovery of their mother. When their WagnR No. JK-11/1740 reached near Kali Mata Mandir in Kalidhar Range, it went out of control and fell into 100 feet deep gorge. It stopped with a tree luckily, otherwise casualties could have been more. While Noor Begum was killed on the spot, her two sons- Talib Hussain and Mohd Azam and daughter- Arsha Bano were injured. They were rushed to Chowki Chora hospital by Bhamla police party led by SI Ajit Singh. Arsha was later referred to GMC Hospital Jammu.
