KATHUA, June 28: A young woman working as laborer was killed and three other laborers were injured when a wall collapsed while they were working in a plot at Fish Pond area here, today.
The incident took place when a group of laborers led by Basant Kumar was working in a plot for construction of foundation of a house. An adjoining wall suddenly collapsed due to excess digging of foundation. The four laborers got injured and were shifted to GMC Kathua.
The three laborers are under treatment while one woman was killed . The deceased woman was identified as Radha Kevat, resident of Chattisgarh. The leader of laborers, Basant Kumar said that the owner of plot fled away from the spot after the incident took place.
They demanded the compensation for bereaved family.
