RAMBAN, Oct 12: A woman was killed, while four others got injured, when the Alto car they were traveling in rolled down in a gorge near Gangroo area of Ramsoo.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK03E-3257 was on its way from Jammu to Srinagar, when the driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve and the vehicle rolled down in a gorge near Gangroo area of Ramsoo, resulting into injuries to five persons.
After getting information, police team and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Banihal, where doctors pronounced one of the injured identified as Haleema Begam (60), wife of Abdul Majid of Pahalgam as brought dead. The injured were later referred to hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment.
The injured have been identified as Ghulam Rasool, son of Abdul Khalid of Anantnag, Parven, wife of Ghulam Rasool, Masood, wife of Ghulam Mohammad and Aanish (5), daughter of Mohammad Iqbal.
A case in this regard has been registered at Ramsoo police station and investigation started.
