KATHUA, Apr 7: A 41 year old woman was killed and seven other passengers including her husband were seriously injured in a multi vehicle collision at National Highway Dayalachak near here, today.

As per reports the woman died and other seven passengers were injured when eight vehicles including two busses, four cars and two bikes collided at Dayalachack on National Highway today.
The accident took place when a speedy bus bearing Registration Number JK02BA7247 and another bus bearing Number JK08l 1503 rammed into a vehicle moving slowly at Dayalachack on National Highway. The speedy buses hit two motorcycle from rear and after that four other vehicles (cars) bearing Registration Number TO224GJ4210B, UP16CV 0525, NO JK21H 0013 collided with each other. In multiple collision of vehicles, eight persons including hour motorcyclists were seriously injured in the accident.
They were shifted to Hiranagar Sub District Hospital for treatment. One the injured lady succumbed to her injuries . Seven are under treatment. The dead woman has been identified as Manjeet Kour wife of Kishore Kumar resident of Narote, Punjab. The injured are identified as Sahil, son of Drub Singh resident of Jandore, Abilesh son of Vakil Singh resident of Ghatti, Kishore Kumar son of Hans Raj resident of Narote, Punjab, Lalita Devi and Anita Devi resident of Hiranagar area.
The traffic was suspended on the road soon after accident.
Hiranagar police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law in this regard and started investigation into the matter. The cause of accident was rash driving by bus drivers on the road and heavy flow of traffic due to construction of Expressway. The passengers are facing hardship while moving on road in slow speed and regular traffic jam caused serious problem for passengers, said local residents.
