JAMMU, Mar 30: A woman was killed, while one other got seriously injured when a truck hit them in Narwal.
Police spokesman said that, Mumtaz Bibi, wife of Hamid Ali and Manzoora Bibi, wife of Wali Mohd, both residents of Bhatindi were critically by injured, when a truck bearing registration number JKO2AF-1055, hit them in Narwal.
They were immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced Mumtaz Bibi as brought dead, while the condition of Manzoora Bibi was stated to be critical, when last reports came in, he added.
The truck driver fled from the spot, leaving behind the vehicle, spokesman said.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Narwal police post and investigations are in progress.
