JAMMU, June 17: A woman, who was injured in a fire mishap at her temporary residence at Mendhar in Poonch district on June 8, today succumbed to her injuries in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
According to a police spokesperson, Kalyani Bishwas (26) wife of Malya Bishwas, a resident of Bengal (at present 62 Battalion, BSF, Mendhar in Poonch) had received about 85 % burn injuries in a fire mishap at her temporary residence in Mendhar on June 8 and on the same day she was admitted to GMCH Jammu, where she expired today.
The body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites after conducting medico-legal formalities. The concerned police has already taken cognizance of the matter.
