JAMMU, Aug 30: A middle aged woman was killed by an unidentified vehicle at Iqbal Colony in Sidhra, falling under the jurisdiction of Nagrota Police Station.
As per police sources, Amina Begum (55), wife of Mohammad Bashir, a resident of tehsil Surankote, district Poonch was crossing the road to visit her relatives’ house in Iqbal Colony at Sidhra, when she was hit by an unknown vehicle.
The profusely bleeding woman was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced her as brought dead.
The body has been handed over to family members for last rites after conducting postmortem.
A case under FIR number 242/14 has been registered at Nagrota Police Station and investigation started.
