Woman killed, three injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Mar 27: A woman died and three other persons sustained injuries in separate road accidents in Jammu district today, police said.
They said one Shima (42) wife of Murad Ali of Jakhaini, Udhampur, was hit by an unknown vehicle at Akhnoor, resulting in severe injuries to the woman.
She was taken to Government Medical College Jammu by her husband where she breathed her last around 5:50 pm today, police said.
Meanwhile, three other persons sustained injuries in separate road accidents today.
One Waji (32), whose age and parentage was not known till the press time, was injured when her scooty was hit by another scooty at Nagrota area, police said.
In another accident at Talab Tillo area, they said, one Om Prakash (60) son of late Ram Chand of Chak Jaffar, Marh, sustained injuries when the bike he was riding on was hit by a matador.
Fifteen years old Irfan Mohammad son of Mohammad Sadiq of Bantalab suffered injuries after he was hit by a bus near Ban Toll Plaza, they said.
While police have registered cases under the relevant sections of the law at the concerned police stations all the injured have also been shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu, where they were responding to the treatment when the last report poured in.
