JAMMU, Oct 24: A woman today made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Samba district, a police spokesman said.
He said the woman has been identified as Rekha (30) wife of Madan Lal and resident of Samba. She was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where her condition is stated to be stable, he added.
However, it was not known why she took this extreme step.
The concerned Police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation.
