JAMMU, Dec 24: A young housewife today made an abortive attempt on her life allegedly by consuming some poisonous substance at her home at Jagti Colony falling under the jurisdiction of Nagrota police station.
According to a police spokesperson, the woman has been identified as Rosy (20) wife of Riaz, a resident of Jagti Colony in Nagrota area of city outskirts. The family members immediately rushed her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where her condition is stated to be stable, he added.
However, it was not known why she took this extreme step.
The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
