HIRANAGAR, Dec 25: A woman today made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence at Chan Rorian area, a police spokesman said.
She has been identified as Vipan wife of Devinder Singh, a resident of Chan Rorian area in Chadwal. She was immediately rushed to District Hospital, Hiranagar. On finding her serious conditions, doctors referred her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where her condition is stated to be stable, he added.
However, it was not known why she took this extreme step.
The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigations.
