UDHAMPUR, July 25: A young house-wife made self-immolation bid at her residence at village Madha in Chenani area of district Udhampur today.
Reports said 31-year-old Darshna Devi, wife of Mohan Lal, resident of Madha poured kerosene oil on her body after some tiff with in-laws/ husband. In a fit of anger, the woman rushed inside and set her self on fire by pouring kerosene oil. The other members then rushed and rescued her. With burn injuries, she was removed to Chenani hospital. The doctors provided preliminary treatment and then referred her to Govt Medical College Hospital, Jammu. The police has taken cognizance of the case.
