JAMMU, Nov 20: A woman injured in an assault case in Trikuta Nagar area succumbed to her injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, here today.
“Mariham Khatoon wife of Saraj Mustafa of Marathi Mohalla (Trikuta Nagar) received head injuries on November 17 when during a scuffle with some people of her mohalla, a man namely Raja son of Pappu Ram hit her with stone and lathies”, a police official said.
He said that the injured woman was battling with the life for last three days in the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries this afternoon. “Trikuta Nagar police has taken cognizance of fresh development in the case”, the official added.
