Woman’s blind murder solved, husband arrested

RAJOURI, Dec 24: With the arrest of accused, a blind murder case of a woman was solved by Rajouri police within a record time.
Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri, Mohd Aslam said that on December 21, at about 3 AM, an information was received through reliable sources at Police Post Khawas that during intervening night some unknown persons have killed a woman namely Shameena Koser (26), wife of Zulifqar Ali, resident of Gundha, in Tehsil Khawas. Throat of the victim was slit and the body was laying near her house at a distance of about 50 meters.
On this information, a case FIR No 84/2022 U/S 302 IPC was registered at Police Station Budhal and police party from Police Post Khawas headed by PSI Shoket Iqbal rushed on the spot and recovered the body of deceased lady which was shifted to GMC Rajouri for autopsy and investigation of the case was started in a professional manner by police.
During investigation by police team, the needle of suspicion moved towards the husband of victim and immediately her husband namely- Zulifqar Ali, son of Mohd Ayub, resident of Gundha, was put to sustained questioning.
During sustained questioning, the husband of the victim, Zulifqar Ali son of Mohd Ayoub confessed his crime. He suspected his wife having illicit relations with some unknown person and he was having doubt on her character.
The accused with criminal intention planned the crime on that day and ultimately, he killed her with some sharp-edged object.
During investigation, on the disclosure of accused the weapon of offence, a knife, was also recovered.
