Woman’s body exhumed from grave for post-mortem after 7 days

RAJOURI, July 31: On the direction of District Magistrate Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan the dead body of Shabnam resident of Plangar in Thanamandi was exhumed from the grave after seven days for postmortem.
Official sources said that on the request of the parents of the girl to the District Magistrate, as a suspected murder case, dead body of Shabnam was today been taken out of grave after seven days in presence of Ist Class Magistrate (Tehsildar Thannamandi and police today for postmortem.
The deceased girl Shabnam, an MA B.Ed, had been married to Mohd Fareed, resident of Plangar village in Thanamandi. On July 18, she was taken to GMC Rajouri where she delivered a baby girl. Later, the condition of the lady worsened and she was taken to GMC Jammu where she died.
The father and other family members alleged that she had been murdered and an impartial inquiry be held. The police has registered a case under section 174 CrPC at Thanamandi Police Station.
The post mortem was conducted under the supervision of Incharge SDM Thannamandi, Mehmood Raiz, SDPO Thannamandi, Abdul Hamid and SHO Thannamandi Fareed Ahmed
A special Medical team from GMC Rajouri under the supervision of Dr Javid were also present there.
