RAJOURI, Aug 23: The body of a 32-year-old woman was found hanging in her house under suspicious circumstances in Doongi area of Rajouri district on Friday.
Her parents have accused her in-laws of murder and demanded a fair investigation and justice. After the post-mortem of the woman by a board of doctors at GMC Rajouri and after completing other legal formalities, the body has been handed over to the family.
The maternal relatives and family members of the deceased woman Farzana Kosar, who came with the body to GMC Rajouri , said that their daughter was often beaten up by her in-laws and many times before, she was beaten up and thrown out of the house and sent to her maternal home.
They alleged that their daughter has been killed and hung from a fan in her room by her in-laws and the murder is being made to look like a case of suicide.
Taking cognizance of the case, Rajouri police has registered a case of death under suspicious circumstances and started investigation.
SHO Rajouri Abid Shah said that they have started inquest proceedings in the instant case and will wait for postmortem report.
