JAMMU, July 19: Stressing on the pivotal role of women in politics, Vibodh Gupta, former MLC & BJP general secretary asked the party cadre to further increase the participation of women in party programmes.
Addressing a meeting of BJP organizational districts of Jammu and Jammu West at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here, today Vibodh who is also Prabhari district Jammu West impressed upon the party activists to ensure maximum participation of women in “Mann Ki Baat” the popular AIR programme being addressed by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and other organizational events.
Rekha Mahajan, district Jammu president Vinay Gupta, district Jammu West president, Munish Khajuria, Seh-Prabhari Shailja Gupta, Karan Sharma, Rajesh Gupta, Ankush Mahajan, Kuldeep Kandhari, Keshav Chopra, Raveesh Mengi and others were present in the meeting.
Vibodh asked the party presidents of districts Jammu and Jammu West to personally make sure that “Mann Ki Baat” is listened at minimum five places in every Mandal with maximum participation of “Matru Shakti” which he termed as the key to understand the needs and the necessities of the society.
Vibodh said that women have always remained the most important but at the same time most underrated in the politics; but now after the formation of PM Modi led Government at the Centre, it has been ensured that the women get the sizable participation in politics too, while also taking the effective measures to do away with many ill practices of the past.
Vibodh also enlightened the BJP leaders on the forthcoming party programmes, while asking them to ensure their observation at the booth level with the participation by all office bearers of party in that area.
He said that with a view to reach up to the ground level, he will initiate Mandal wise “Pravas” in both the organizational districts, where he will conduct small meetings and interact with ground activists. He said that he will also discuss the issues faced by the masses with the elected representatives in their respective districts and asked them to schedule the Pravas accordingly.
