KISHTWAR, Feb 3: A Women Investigation Cell has been established within the premises of Police Station Kishtwar, here.
The Cell has been established to deal with the heinous crimes against women like rape, dowry death, acid attacks, human trafficking and domestic violence.
Sandeep Wazir, SSP Kishtwar along with Tussif Ahmed, DySP Headquarters Kishtwar and Inspector Sameer Jeelani, SHO Kishtwar Police Station Kishtwar inaugurated the Cell.
While speaking, SSP Kishtwar said that crime against women are increasing day by day and it was the need of hour for establishment of Women Investigation Cell which will provide a platform to such women who become victim of domestic violence and other heinous crimes.
He further said that such women can easily approach to the said Cell for redressal of their grievances.
