BHADERWAH, July 6: Additional Superintendent of Police Bhaderwah Abdul Qayoom inaugurated the Women Police Helpline Desk here at Police Station Bhaderwah in the presence of SDPO Meer Gafoor and SHO Bhaderwah Hassan Kamal.
Speaking on the occasion, the ASP Bhaderwah said that the well designed Women Police Helpline Desk will help in protecting the rights of the women in the Bhaderwah sub district.
The ASP stressed effective measures for justice of the women and children who have suffered violence.
“We have to go all out to end these horrible abuses and the impunity that allows these human rights violations to continue”, ASP said and directed officers that ending violence against women and girls has to be the top priority.
Meanwhile, renowned social activist and Chairman District for Bhaderwah Joint Committee Advocate Mohammad Majid Malik said that Women Police Helpline Desk in Bhaderwah will create a sense of security among the women in Bhaderwah.
