JAMMU, Sept 22: Senior BJP leader and district president of Jammu South, Rekha Mahajan emphasized the Modi Government’s commitment to women’s empowerment, calling it an intrinsic part of the Party’s ethos, not a political agenda.
During a special interaction with Muslim women, Mahajan underscored the transformative impact of various Government initiatives, particularly on women from minority communities.
Mahajan highlighted key schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) and the Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana, which have empowered women by providing financial independence and freedom from everyday challenges. According to Mahajan, these schemes have received overwhelming support and love from women beneficiaries across the country.
Addressing the audience, Mahajan also emphasized the Government’s specific focus on uplifting Muslim women. She pointed out efforts in education, skill development, and vocational training, which have improved their employability and economic independence. One of the most notable achievements, according to Mahajan, is the abolition of Tripple Talaq, a landmark reform that has brought dignity and equality to Muslim women.
She reiterated Prime Minister Modi’s vision of inclusivity, stating, “Women play a vital role in shaping policies under the Modi-led Government, and we are dedicated to creating a better future for all women in India.”
Rekha Mahajan further praised the Modi Government’s development initiatives, which have positioned India as a growing global economic power, attracting major international companies. “Under the leadership of PM Modi, India is moving rapidly towards becoming a developed nation,” she added.
