JAMMU, Dec 13: The Women’s Hub, a voluntary club of women in Jammu, today made donations to the four organizations namely Balgran, Old Age Home Amphalla, Aangan and Bal Niketan, which support orphans and aged people.
The Women’s Hub donated 78 blankets, 45 thermals, 125 woolen caps, socks, biscuits, 30 litres of mustard oil, 5 kg pickle and 15 kg rajma respectively.
The donations were made on the basis of the specific needs of the particular organizations, the information about which was already taken from the organizations by the members.
The Women’s Hub President Kriti Aggarwal and all the members of the Club duly contributed towards this social cause to make this donation campaign a success.
The aim of the Women’s Hub towards supporting this social cause was to meet the children and old aged, talk to them and make them feel associated with us, she added.
“The innocence of the children and the interactions with the old aged people as well as the hospitality of the hosts showed us the best way in which we as individuals could live our lives-with our hearts. They taught the Club members, as a learning experience, more than they could ever give them, with their way of life and their appreciation of what they have. This was a worthwhile experience for the members to spend their time volunteering, and learning what truly is selfless giving from the people who set up this amazing place”, Kriti Aggarwal stated.
The Women’s Hub is a Club of fifty-eight young and enthusiastic women in Jammu who have joined hands together to undertake various activities aligned to supporting social causes, self-development, societal awareness and benefits etc.
