SAMBA, Apr 3: Chairman of Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan and independent candidate on both the Lok Sabha seats in Jammu region, Ch Lal Singh, today said that the words like ‘Hindu terror’ and ‘Islamic terror’ germinate during the time of elections and the pseudo nationalist parties are using these terms in order to divide the different communities not only in Jammu but across the countries.
“When the elections are over, these parties not only forget these terms but also forget the grievances of the poor people,” he said while addressing a series of public meetings at Vijaypur, Samba, Hiranagar and Reasi.
Cautioning against the attempts of sowing seeds of hatred in the region, Choudhary Lal Singh said that Jammu is the only province where Muslims are helping the Hindu devotees to pay obeisance at Mata Vaishno Devi. “It is the true example of the secularism. But the sitting MP has not done anything for the protection of this heritage and they were busy in imposing the tax on these poor laborers,” he remarked.
“The NC and PDP are also not behind the national parties in this competition,” he said and added that the Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan was the only party whose leaders are acceptable in both the communities.
“I feel sorry that these parties are linking terrorism to Hindus and Muslims whereas they forget that the terrorism has no religion. PDP has already played the communal card to destabilize the situation at Jammu and the mastermind of Rassana incident recently joined the PDP. Now there are no doubts among the people regarding conspiracy behind Rassana case to defame the Dogras,” he said.
Ch Lal Singh appealed to the people to judge for themselves as whose contribution was greater for the development of Jammu province, whether that of the Congress or the BJP. “One contender is asking for the votes on the name of his family and other one is asking for votes on name of Prime Minister. No one dares to ask for the votes on the basis of the contributions as MP,” he said and added that the only party asking for the votes on the basis of the contribution was the DSS.
