There is no denying the fact that the Government at the centre and states announce and devise so many schemes for the benefit of common people but their execution depends on the executive branch of the Governments. If the officers work sincerely and with dedication, these schemes would go a long way in bringing fruits.
However, the study by the newspapers shows that the innovative measures adopted by the Governments from time to time remain only confined to papers and not taken to logical end. However, there is a silver lining on the clouds. When the people were fed up with the traffic jams in Jammu city causing chaos, a new hope emerged ever since the new IGP traffic Basant Rath took the reins of the department in his hands. There has been an impressive and tangible improvement in the working of Traffic Department and the people have got relieved from the traffic snarls. The people have appreciated the revolutionary measures in traffic taken by the IGP. Will other departments follow the change? Only time will tell.
