BHADERWAH, May 16: Chairman of District Development Council, Dhanantar Singh Kotwal along with Lt. Col. Gaurav Tewari of 118 GREF and Major Sachit Sharma, Officer-in-Charge GREF here today inaugurated resurfacing work on Bhaderwah-Bani road from 149.540 km-165 km with around 16 km road work to be executed by GREF.
DDC Chairman directed the authorities to execute the work within time frame so that tourists visiting the area may not face any difficulty.
It is pertinent to mention here that Basholi-Bani-Bhaderwah road traverses a large number of scenic beauty, tourist spots and villages like Guldanda, Bashti, Nalthi, Sungli and Puneja.
There are number of pilgrimage and tourist spots on this route and important among them are Vasuki Naag temple and Chandi Mata Temple.
After inauguration of the road work, DDC Chairman reviewed the ongoing progress of work particularly from Guldanda to Chattergala.
Major Sachit Sharma said that the work will be completed by the month of October subject to fair weather conditions.
Sarpanch Butla Parveen Jaryal, Sarpanch Mistrata Rakesh Kotwal, JE (Civ) S.K Chaturvedi, JE (Civ) Sagan Kumar and others were also present on the occasion.
