Work on power project remains suspended

KISHTWAR, Oct 30: The work on the mega power project at Drabshalla here remained suspended following yesterday’s landslides, in which four persons including a police cop were killed and nine others sustained injuries.
As per reports, the work on the 850 MW Ratle Hydro Electric Project remained suspended today.
Meanwhile, last rites of the four persons, who were killed in back to back landslides at the power project site, were performed at Drabshalla, Kandli and Thathri.
Thousands of people took part in the last rites of the killed persons including a police cop.
A wreath laying ceremony was also held at District Police Lines (DPL) Kishtwar, in which family members of the deceased cop and police officers paid tributes.
However, the injured persons were responding to the treatment when last reports were collected.
